Downtown Clinton is proud to be home to one of four Thomas Dambo installations located throughout the Clinton community - part of an immersive storytelling experience inspired by our city's rich lumber history.
Created by internationally renowned recycle artist Thomas Dambo, the installations combine art, storytelling, sustainability, and adventure. The story follows three troll brothers - Warren, Marvin, and Helmut, known as The Tree Thieves - as they search for clues about where their ancestral timber ended up throughout Clinton.
Downtown Clinton's troll installation invites visitors to explore our historic district while discovering local shops, restaurants, public spaces, and riverfront experiences along the way. Whether you are visiting for the trolls or spending the day downtown, Clinton offers a unique blend of creativity, history, and community. All three locations are free to visit, open dawn to dusk.
